BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Liz Holby's goal in the 86th minute gave the Hoosiers a 2-1 victory over Ball State on Sunday, Sept. 16, at Armstrong Stadium. Chloe McKay added a first-half goal as the Hoosiers won their third straight game to improve to 4-1-1.

Holby netted the gamewinner at the 85:09 mark off a nice pass from Kristin Arnold. Arnold took the ball from 35 yards out and sent a through ball to her right to a streaking Holby. The sophomore took a hard, right-footed shot that tucked just inside the right post past keeper Rachael Murphy for her first goal of the season.

Indiana's first goal came 83 minutes earlier, with McKay netting her second career goal. The freshman found herself with the ball just outside of the box on the left side. After shaking a defender, she unleashed a left-footed ball that slid into the lower left-hand corner of the net to make it 1-0 at 1:53.

Ball State held the edge in play for the majority of the second half. BSU pulled even with the Hoosiers early in the frame after being awarded a free kick from just outside the box on the left side. Katelyn Alexander made the most of her opportunity, slipping a bending ball just inside the near post at 47:09 to knot the score 1-1.

Lauren Hollandsworth earned the win to move to 4-1-1 on the season, making four saves in the process. Rachael Murphy made two saves in a losing effort. BSU outshot the Hoosiers 20-10 in the contest and held a 6-4 edge in corner kicks. The Cardinals had 16 fouls to IU's 12, and had both of the contest's yellow cards.

Indiana is back in action on Wednesday, when it travels to Indianapolis for a matchup with Butler. Game time is slated for 7 p.m. at Kuntz Field.
