BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Kristin Arnold finished off a sensational weekend with two goals, leading Indiana to a 2-0 win over Wisconsin on Sunday, Sept. 30, giving her five scores in IU's two wins over the weekend. Sunday's victory marked the seventh straight for the Hoosiers, and they are unbeaten in their last nine games.

Lauren Hollandsworth recorded her third shutout of the season for the Hoosiers, who advanced to 8-1-1 overall and 2-0 in Big Ten play. Wisconsin fell to 3-5-1 with an 0-2 mark in conference action.

In the 16th minute, Arnold gave the home squad a 1-0 lead with her fifth goal of the season. The Beavercreek, Ohio, native took the ball just outside of the box on the left side and dropped a high lofting shot into the upper right corner of the net over the head of goalkeeper Jamie Klages.

The sophomore forward followed that up with another tally in the 23rd minute. Katy Stewart played a skidding through ball ahead for Arnold, who picked it up and raced toward the goal. Arnold sent a low shot just inside the right post, recording her sixth goal of the season and her fifth of the weekend.

Sunday's two-goal performance followed a hat trick on Friday, Sept. 28, in which Arnold led the Hoosiers to a come-from-behind victory over Northwestern. With six goals and two assists, she leads the Hoosiers in goals scored and is tied for the team lead with Christie Kotynski with 14 points.

Hollandsworth recorded her third shutout of the season in the victory. She recorded three saves in the contest, all of which occurred in the second half. She capped off the game with a brilliant diving save to her right in the game's 83rd minute, stopping a scorching shot off the foot of Tricia Krombach to maintain a two-goal advantage.

The Hoosiers are back in action Thursday, Oct. 4, when they play at Michigan at 8 p.m. EDT. The game will be televised live on the Big Ten Network. The Wolverines are 2-6-1 overall and 0-2 in the Big Ten following a defeat at Iowa on Sunday by a score of 2-1.
