BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana women's soccer team hosted a 7v7 indoor tournament with three other teams from the region on Saturday (Feb. 25) in Mellencamp Pavilion. In addition to the Hoosiers, IUPUI, Evansville and Xavier participated.

"What a great day of soccer," Indiana head coach Mick Lyon said. "IUPUI, Evansville and Xavier all brought terrific teams and helped create a wonderful environment in Mellencamp Pavilion. To end the day with IU Crimson playing IU Cream in the final was a fitting end to the day."

IU Crimson had goals from Lisa Nouanesengsy (3), Bekah White, Ori Velasquez (3), Abby Smith (3) and Kristen Leist. IU Cream had goals from Tori Keller (3), Rebecca Candler (3) and Kate McCusker (3). The final was a great game to watch with some very exciting combination play and tough tackling. Lisa Nouanesengsy got the game-winner in a closely fought match.

IUWS concluded the day with an evening banquet to celebrate the team and six departing seniors.
