BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana women's soccer team will have two of its home, regular-season games televised on the Big Ten Network, it was announced today. The Hoosiers will take on a pair of conference rivals in the contests, as IU's games against Ohio State and Illinois will appear on national television.

Indiana will make its 2008 TV debut on Sunday, Sept. 28, when the Buckeyes come to Bloomington for a 2 p.m. ET contest at Armstrong Stadium. IU and Ohio State clashed twice last year, with the Buckeyes taking a 1-0 decision in a fierce contest in Columbus during the regular season and a 2-1, overtime victory in the opening round of the Big Ten Tournament.

The Buckeyes have won three of the last four against the Hoosiers, but each of the last six matches between the sides has been decided by one goal or less. Mick Lyon is 3-3-1 against OSU in his Hoosier tenure and IU is 7-1-1 against Ohio State at Armstrong Stadium all-time.

On Sunday, Oct. 19, IU will play host to Illinois at Armstrong Stadium for a 2 p.m. start on the Network. Last season, the Illini broke up Indiana's 13-game unbeaten streak with a 3-0 victory in Champaign on a windy evening at the Illinois Soccer and Track Stadium. The Illini have not visited Armstrong Stadium since 2005.

The Hoosiers will begin the 2008 campaign with a game against Miami (Ohio) on Saturday, Aug. 16, at 7:30 p.m. for their lone exhibition contest of the season. IU opens the regular season with three contests away from Bloomington, beginning with the season opener at Dayton on Friday, Aug. 22, at 7:30.
