Preseason Blog - Jocelyn Moses
Aug. 18, 2007
Throughout the 2007 preseason, members of the IU women's soccer team will be giving fans a daily insider's look at what it's like to be a part of the squad. Today's blog entry is by freshman Jocelyn Moses.
Today is day four of preseason and it started out with a break from our morning conditioning so we were able to sleep in an hour later.
Yesterday we had to get with our buddies to do a worst-case scenario activity. Each group was given a tough situation that they have to get themselves out of. My buddy Lindsay McCarthy and I were given "How to foil a UFO abduction." We had to remember all the details and be prepared to act it out at any time during the season.
Two groups have already acted theirs out. Kate Nierman and Cameron Myers taught us how to determine the gender of your date and Leigh Anne Cummings and Liz Holby taught us how to escape a horrible date.
After our lesson, we began practice starting with passing and moving through cones. Later, we worked on moving the ball from the back up to the target players. We ended with offensive runs and finishing inside the 18.
Later today were are going to have an intrasquad scrimmage and anyone is invited to come see how the team is looking. Well I better go get ready to play.
