Preseason Blog - Rachel Titus
Aug. 28, 2007
Throughout the 2007 preseason, members of the IU women's soccer team will be giving fans a daily insider's look at what it's like to be a part of the squad. Today's blog is by sophomore Rachel Titus.
It was a bittersweet weekend for me and most of the girls on the team. Sunday was the last day of preseason, which is a great accomplishment for us as a team. However, the end of preseason means the beginning of a new school year..and that means classes, pop-quizzes, exams and much more!
Being a transfer student this year, it has been hard to think of myself as a sophomore. I have had to start the college process all over again by joining a new team, meeting new students, learning my way around a new campus, and settling in to a new town. However, the girls on the team have made me feel welcome and have given me and the other newbies great advice!
Yesterday was the first day of classes and I am glad to say that I made it! Coming from a very small campus last year, it was a big adjustment trying to figure out the bus system and where all my classes were. Although it was stressful, there were a lot of people around to help me find my way around and which bus to take. The hard part is knowing that I have to do it all over again tomorrow!
With preseason and the first day of school out of the way, we can now all look forward to starting the regular season and all the adventures to come this fall!
