    Go Hoosiers!

Throughout the 2007 season, members of the IU women's soccer team will be giving fans a daily insider's look at what it's like to be a part of the squad. Today's blog is by senior goalkeeper Megan Reinhardt.

What a week! After a grueling pre-season, we finally started classes on Monday. It was nice to have the day off to allow the freshmen and we returners the opportunity to sort out the academic aspects of being a student-athlete.

But our break was short-lived. We hit the practice field on Tuesday (and man, was it hot!) to start our preparation for our huge matches this weekend against Florida and Jacksonville. We goalkeepers had a good footwork training session with our GK coach, Erika True.

After a break in the shade, we went back on the field to work on our defensive shape and playing out of the back. We're really working hard on finding our midfielders and forwards from the back. Next we finished the training session with some 8-v-8.

Today we leave for Florida. I always get excited for travel trips because it gives the team a new opportunity to learn about each other. With there being so many new faces on this year's team, I definitely like to take advantage of getting to know everyone and road trips are a great way to do so!

    GO HOOSIERS!!!
