Bloomington, Indiana -- The Indiana women's soccer team battled Saint Louis to a 1-1 tie at Bill Armstrong Stadium Sunday night.
The Hoosiers (1-3-1) tied the game in the 87th minute when sophomore Kelly Kram found the back of the net past Billiken goalkeeper Meghann Burke. Kram scored from just outside the goal off a corner kick by senior Carrie Watts.
The Hoosiers dominated every phase of the game and had several chances to score, outshooting Saint Louis (3-1-1) 22 to five for the game and six to one in the overtime periods. IU also had 12 corner kicks to the Billikens three.
Saint Louis scored first as Trisha Underberg lofted a shot over Hoosier goalkeeper Ashley Davis at 21:30.
IU senior Tracy Grose led the Hoosiers with nine shots on goal, tying the Indiana single-game record held by assistant coach Wendy Dillinger. IU also tied the school record for consecutive unbeaten home games at ten.
The Hoosiers open Big Ten play next weekend at Michigan State Friday at 4 p.m. IU returns home September 24 for a match against Ohio State at 7 p.m.
