Big Ten Network to Televise Two Women's Soccer Games
Sept. 17, 2007
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Big Ten Network will televise a pair of Indiana women's soccer games during the month of October. Indiana's road contests at Michigan and at Penn State will be carried live on the channel.
The Hoosiers will face the Wolverines on Thursday, Oct. 4, at 8 p.m. in Ann Arbor, Mich. IU topped Michigan last year, 2-1, in Ann Arbor during the regular season, but the Wolverines exacted revenge by topping the Hoosiers 2-1 in the opening round of the Big Ten Tournament in University Park, Pa.
Indiana takes on Penn State on Sunday, Oct. 28, in University Park at 1 p.m. Penn State and IU played one of the more exciting games of the 2006 season last year, with the two teams battling to a scoreless draw on Oct. 8 in Bloomington. Both teams had a number of scoring chances in the contest, but were denied by strong defense and goaltending by their counterparts in every occasion.
Indiana is currently 4-1-1 on the season following 2-1 victories over Samford and Ball State this weekend. The Hoosiers are back in action on Wednesday, Sept. 19, when they travel to Indianapolis for a matchup with Butler.
