    HOOSIERS BLANK REDHAWKS, 3-0

OXFORD, Ohio - Indiana (5-1) started slow, but turned on the heat in the second half defeating Miami (2-4). Going into halftime with a one goal lead, the Hoosiers put up two goals in the second half to make the final score 3-0.

Kris Fosdick came off of the bench to find the goal after a short pass from Sanne Knudsen. That was one of the three shots registered for Indiana in the first half. Miami was only able to put up on shot, with Merit Elzey making the save.

The Hoosiers opened the second half showing some of their team speed, keeping the ball in the offensize zone and allowing Miami just a few fast breaks. The offensive pressure paid off as Knudsen put in her fifth goal of the year in the 59th minute.

Kelly Wilson provided the assist. After starting to dominate the game as it drew to a close, Fosdick found the goal for the second time. Kelly Wilson fired the ball across the goalmouth to create the score.

"For the most part, we did what we wanted to do on the field," said head coach Joe Kelley. "Fosdick scoring two goals was really great."

The Hoosiers return home to face the Michigan Wolverines in the first Big Ten match of the season Friday, September 19 at 6:00. The Hoosiers then face Michigan State at home on Sunday.
