    HOOSIERS, SPARTANS SCORELESS

    East Lansing, Mich. -- The Indiana women's soccer team and Michigan State played to a scoreless, 0-0 tie Friday afternoon at Old College Field on the MSU campus. It was the first Big Ten game for both teams this season.

    Each team had scoring opportunities late in the overtime session, but could not capitalize. Michigan State goalie Sara Kloosterman and Indiana goalie Ashley Davis each provided clutch saves to secure the scoreless tie. Kloostermann had seven saves for the Spartans, while Davis had four stops for the Hoosiers.

    Carrie Watts, Jenny Mann and Tracy Grose led IU with two shots apiece.

    Indiana is now 1-3-1, while Michigan State is now 1-3-3.Indiana will play at Northwestern on Sunday, Sept. 19 at 1 p.m.
