Ross Named 'Primetime Performer' by CollegeSoccer360.com
Sept. 24, 2013
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Senior defender Lara Ross (Upper Arlington, Ohio) was named to CollegeSoccer360.com's 'Primetime Performer" list after helping the IU defense post shutouts against Xavier and Minnesota last week.
The pair of victories helped propel Indiana to a 8-0-1 start to the season and win its Big Ten Conference opener for the first time since the 2007 season.
On Wednesday against Xavier, Ross and the Indiana defense held the Musketeers to just seven shot for the game as the Hoosiers won easily, 3-0. Then on Sunday against a very stout Minnesota team, Ross and her defensive backfield were again up to the task as they shut down the offensive attack of the Golden Gophers. The Gophers were able to get off 11 shots on goal, but just two of them were on goal and Shannon Flower made both of those saves to preserve the shutout.

Ross and the Hoosiers continue Big Ten play this week with a road trip to Ohio State on Thursday to take on the Buckeyes. The game will start at 3 p.m. ET and be aired live on the Big Ten Network.
