    GETTING A GOOD START
The first half has been very good to the Hoosiers so far this season as 12 of the 24 overall goals scored by IU have come in the first 45 minutes.

In contrast, Indiana scored eight total first half goals during the entire 2010 season.

    SECOND HALF SURGE
In the second half against Nebraska, the IU offense kicked into high gear, scoring a pair of goals to rally from a 1-0 deficit and hand the Huskers their first-ever Big Ten Conference loss.

The two second half goals marked the second time this season the Hoosiers have scored two or more times in the second half. The other occasion was against Butler, when IU scored three times in the second stanza. Then last week against Purdue, the Hoosiers scored a pair of second half tallies.

The last time the Hoosiers scored two goals in the second half against a Big Ten opponent was oct. 24, 2010, at Iowa, when IU scored a goal in the second half and one in overtime to get the win.

Of the last seven goals that the Hoosiers have scored, six have come in the second half.

    ALL IT TAKES IS ONE
With a 1-0 win at Northwestern, the Hoosiers now have won three games this season by that score and have won their last two games that have been decided by one goal.

    ONE FOR THE BOOKS
Carly Samp scored the lone goal against Xavier to give her 18 in her career and move into a tie for fifth place on the career goals scored list at Indiana. She also has 49 career points, good for fifth on the career points list at Indiana.

Junior Orianica Velasquez has also made a mark on the IU record books in two-plus seasons. With her goal against Nebraska, she now has 19 goals in 51 career games for the Hoosiers. She is tied for fifth place on the career goals scored list at IU and is 7th on the career points scored list (46).

And goalkeeper Lindsay Campbell has returned to form in her senior season and is moving up the goalkeeper charts as well. She has 17 career victories to hold down fifth on the career list at IU and her 1.15 GAA is the fifth-best all-time at IU. Additionally, Campbell has 13 career shutouts in goal to tie for second on the career list. She also had 154 career saves to rank fourth all-time.
