COLUMBUS, Ohio - Freshman Lindsay McCarthy was named to the Big Ten All-Tournament Team, announced the conference office on Sunday after the championship game of the tournament. In the conference finale second-seeded Ohio State defeated top-seeded Penn State 2-0.

McCarthy, an offensive force for much of the season, showcased a solid defensive performance in Indiana's 2-0 loss to Penn State in the opening round of the Big Ten Tournament. McCarthy is second on the Hoosiers with five goals and third with 13 points.

IU will now wait and see if it will receive a bid to the NCAA Tournament. The field of 64 will be announced on Monday, Nov. 9, at 4 p.m. ESPNews will carry the selection show live.

If selected it will be the first NCAA berth for Indiana since 1998 and only the third appearance in the tournament in school history.
