Bloomington, Ind.Indiana sophomore Kristen Zmijewksi has been named to the 2003 Big Ten All-Tournament Team for her offensive showings during Big Ten Tournament this past week in Madison, Wis.
Although the Hoosiers were scoreless, Zmijewski posed as an offensive threat throughout the Hoosiers game against Purdue on Thursday afternoon. She managed one shot on goal and put together one of the closest plays of the game with 18 minutes to go. Zmijewski forced Purdue keeper Lauren Mason out of the net and then crossed the ball perfectly into the middle, but no Hoosier could get close enough to get a foot on it.
Zmijewksi became the second Hoosier in history to be named to the All-Tournament team. Her teammate, junior midfielder Kim Grodek was named to the 2002 Big Ten All-Tournament team.
