Hi, the Internet is not good here and is not helping with being able to send updates. We played against Venezuela and beat them 5-0 and I socored a goal. We lost to Brazil, 2-1, and tomorrow we play agaisnt Uruguay. If we win, we get to the second round. I played the whole time against Brazil, it was a really good game but the result was not the best for us.

(NOTE: Colombia defeated Urugary, 8-0, to advance to the Second Stage along with Argentina, Brazil and Chile.)

"I am in Ecuador - Loja is the city. We played yesterday against Paraguay and we won 3-0. I played in the second half and almost scored a goal but the keeper saved it. Now we are resting in the hotel and later we are going to get to know the city because we leave (Sunday) to another city to play against Venazuela at 2:00 p.m.

"The team is doing great. The internet isn't the best but I am trying to write you in my free time. I think there is a website where people can watch the games, so I will send it later. Please say hi to the girls for me, I miss them."

"Hi, I hope you and the team have had a good trip (back to Bloomington from Penn State). I got to Colombia last night at 8:30 p.m., it was fast and everything was ok. This morning I kicked some balls and ran for 20 minutes and in the afternoon I practiced with the team. I thought I was going to feel bad with the altitude but I feel good. I feel like lack of breath but nothing that I cannot handle.

"Tomorrow we have a game against boys and we will travel Nov. 2."

    Monday, Nov. 1
"I'm so happy for the team and the victory (against Ohio State). It was good to hear that the team played with passion and heart. I am so proud.

"Today we played against the boys team I did not start, but I played 15 minutes in the first half and then most of the second half. We won 1-0 and I scored the goal.

"We leave tomorrow in the afternoon for Ecuador.

"Have a great day and please tell to the team that I am so happy because we beat (Ohio State) and now we have to finish good with our last game. Good Luck!!"
