The Indiana softball team will head to Lincoln, Neb. to play as the No. 12 seed in the 2013 Big Ten Softball Tournament. The Hoosiers are slated to take on No. 5 Northwestern on Thursday, May 9 at 12:30 p.m. EST. All 12 B1G schools will take part in the single-elimination style tournament.

A hard-fought comeback in the seventh inning was spoiled by a pair of Minnesota runs in the bottom of the seventh as the Indiana softball team suffered its second consecutive walk-off loss in a 5-4 setback to the Golden Gophers this afternoon.

A Minnesota extra-innings, walk-off home run spoiled a stellar pitching effort by Indiana softball's Meaghan Murphy as the Hoosiers fell 1-0 in eight innings this evening in Minneapolis, Minn. The Hoosiers fall to 19-33 (3-18 Big Ten), while the Golden Gophers move to 32-16 (13-6 Big Ten).

After yesterday's opening game of the series was rescheduled due to snow and rain in the Minneapolis area, the Indiana softball team finally got to take the field and play the first of its three-game series with Minnesota, but a lack of run support diminished the Hoosiers' hopes of taking game one. Indiana fell 8-0 in five innings to the Gophers to fall to 19-32 on the season and 3-17 in Big Ten games, while Minnesota improves to 31-16 (12-6 Big Ten).

A late rally by the visiting Wisconsin Badgers upset the Indiana softball team's hopes of securing a Senior Day victory at Andy Mohr Field this afternoon. The Hoosiers took an early lead that was maintained until the top of the seventh, where the Badgers scored four times to take an eventual 5-2 win.

The Indiana softball team opened up its final home series of the season with a pair of losses to visiting Wisconsin this evening, falling in five innings by a score of 12-1 in game one and suffering a 3-0 setback in game two. The Hoosiers (19-30, 3-15 Big Ten) have now lost 10 straight contests, while Wisconsin (37-9, 14-5) has taken its eighth straight victory.

Today's 6 p.m. single game with Wisconsin has been changed to a 6 p.m. doubleheader with game two starting at approximately 8 p.m. Tomorrow's 1 p.m. Senior Day contest will still be played as scheduled. No game will be played on Sunday afternoon.

The Indiana softball team will welcome in-state opponent Ball State in a 6 p.m. EST contest tomorrow, April 23 at Andy Mohr Field, where IU will officially dedicate the new facility. Tomorrow's matchup is the final midweek regular season game for the Hoosiers this season.

The Indiana softball team was swept by a Big Ten opponent for the third time this season, dropping its final game with Illinois this afternoon. The Hoosiers fell 8-0 in six innings to fall to 3-13 in Big Ten games and 19-27 on the year. Illinois improves to 4-11 in conference play and 14-25 overall.

Much like the opening game of today's doubleheader at Illinois, it was a solo shot that made all of the difference in the Hoosiers loss to the Fighting Illini. Indiana and UI showcased solid pitching performances as each team was held scoreless through six and half innings until Illinois' Remeny Perez put one out in center to give the Illini a 1-0 lead. The Hoosiers could not match the home team's one run, resulting IU's second loss in the series.
