    Position:
    Graduate Manager

    Experience:
    1st Season

Angie Funston is in her first season as a graduate manager with the Indiana Softball program after finishing a stellar career for the Loyola (Chicago) Ramblers in 2010. The native of St. John, Ind., will assist with the day-to-day operations within the program and a variety of other duties as needed.

With the Ramblers, Funston did a little bit of everything from hitting to pitching, especially during her senior campaign in 2010. As a senior, she was named team MVP and collected her third straight Horizon League Academic Honor Roll certificate. Her final season proved to be her best all-around season as she was called up on to pitch, something she had not done since her sophomore year. When the year was all said and done, Funston was the staff ace with 11 wins, 10 complete games and nearly 100 innings pitched. And at the plate, she hit .296 with eight home runs and 31 runs batted in. She finished her career with 93 runs batted in, tied for the most in school history, and 14 home runs, the fourth-most in program lore.

While attending Lake Central High School, Funston played third base on the state championship team and compiled a 118-15-1 record as a team, including a 47-game winning streak that covered two seasons. She was also named to the ICGSA Academic All-State Team for both softball and basketball in 2006.
