SOPHOMORE YEAR (2012) • Named team's Co-Pitcher of the Year
Appeared in 40 games in the circle for the Hoosiers, making 28 starts ... tossed 186.1 innings and earned a record of 16-11 ... the 16 wins was good for eighth among Big Ten pitchers ... posted an ERA of 4.58 with 16 complete games and two shutouts ... credited with 93 strikeouts to lead the team ... saw her numbers improve in Big Ten play, as she went 10-4 with a 3.86 ERA in 18 appearances ... the 10 victories was tied for second among Big Ten pitchers in conference play ... pitched 90.2 innings while making 13 starts and going the distance in seven games ... also had 21 at-bats and came away with a pair of hits, including a double, to go with two RBI and a run scored ... notched her first win of the season by allowing one run on seven hits and eight strikeouts in five innings against Santa Clara ... earned her first career save by pitching the final three innings against Saint Louis and allowing one unearned run ... went the distance in the circle against Central Arkansas for the win, allowing two runs on nine hits ... came to pitch the final 2.2 innings against Florida International to earn the win, allowing one run on three hits ... win number four came in a five inning win over Wichita State where she allowed no runs on three hits and three strikeouts ... was able to work around 10 hits against UIC in the opener of the Hoosiers Classic to pick up her fifth win of the year ... came back the next day and allowed two runs on six hits and six strikeouts against Wright State to get the win ... tossed a gem in the Hoosiers win against Michigan in game two of a doubleheader, as she allowed two runs on seven hits in five innings ... was able to pick up the win in the first game against Northwestern despite giving up six runs on nine hits in seven innings of work ... logged another win against the Wildcats the next day, surrendering three runs on seven hits and three strikeouts ... pitched a gem in game one against Iowa, posting a nine inning shutout as the Hoosiers won 1-0 while she allowed just seven hits to go with four strikeouts ... in game one against Nebraska, fired a seven innings of two-run softball on seven hits ... in the series finale with the Huskers, again went the distance and gave up two runs on eight hits ... picked up the win in each of the three games against Michigan State to close the season.
FRESHMAN YEAR (2011)
Played in 38 games and made 28 starts ... made 15 starts at DP, seven starts in right field, six starts at first base and one in the circle ... hit .220 with two home runs and 14 RBI ... scored eight runs and had three doubles and a triple ... made one appearance in the circle on the season and pitched a five inning one-hit shutout against Arkansas-Pine Bluff at Oklahoma ... lined a two-run single to right field for her first collegiate hit against Nevada ... went 2-for-4 with a two-run triple against Ole Miss ... lifted a sac fly and drilled a RBI single against Cal State Fullerton ... had a double and scored a run against Loyola Marymount ... clubbed a double and scored a run against James Madison ... was 3-for-4 with her first career home run and three RBI against Arkansas-Pine Bluff while also pitching a one-hit shutout in her first collegiate pitching appearance ... went 1-for-3 with a RBI in the second game against Arkansas-Pine Bluff ... laced a two-run walk-off home run in the second game of a doubleheader against Butler ... lined a pinch hit double at Michigan State ... lined a pinch-hit RBI single to left field against Iowa.

Murphy is a four-year letterwinner for head coach Wendy Davies at Ralston Valley High School ... hit .506 as a junior and led her team to a state runner-up finish for the second straight season ... was the Jefferson County 5A League MVP ... named to the Colorado Coaches of Girls Sports All-State team as well as the Colorado High School Coaches Association All-Star team ... In 2008, she was named team MVP and Sports Woman of the Year at Ralston Valley ... the year prior to that she was the MVP of the state tournament and was named to the 4A All-State team ... also earned two letters in basketball and track ... is the daughter of Michael and Lyn Murphy ... has one sister, Samantha, and two brothers, Casey and Sean ... currently undecided on a major ... birthdate is March 18, 1992.
