SENIOR YEAR (2012) Named Co-Most Improved at the team's awards banquet
Played in all 55 games of the 2012 season, making 51 starts ... hit .286 overall with six home runs and 31 RBI ... led the team and tied for ninth in the Big Ten with 13 doubles ... one of three players to have a slugging percentage of .500 or better (.507) ... drew 18 walks, the third-most on the team ... clubbed three home runs and had 15 RBI in Big Ten play ... collected 10 games with at least two hits, tied for third-most on the team ... posted nine games with at least two RBI to tie for the team lead in that category ... went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored against Santa Clara ... registered two hits and two RBI, including her first home run of the season against Long Beach State ... helped the Hoosiers to a win over Eastern Kentucky with a two-run single ... racked up three hits against Central Arkansas including her second home run of the year ... picked up two more hits the next day against Bradley ... in two games against Wichita State, she had four hits, one of which was her third long ball of the season, and three RBI ... laced a two-run double against Wright State ... lined a three-run double into left center against UIC at the Hoosier Classic ... blasted a RBI double in the second game of a doubleheader against Purdue ... in the three-game series against Northwestern, hit a pair of home runs and drove in five runs ... closed out her career in style with a two-run home run at Michigan State in the final game of the season ... named Academic All-Big Ten and a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar ... named to the Jewish Sports Review All-America Division I softball team.
JUNIOR YEAR (2011)
Played in 23 games and made 12 starts, all of which came at second base ... had 37 at-bats but did hit a double, triple and home run while driving in six ... also drew four walks and had a sacrifice fly ... committed just one error in 45 chances at second base ... had a sac fly against Cal Poly ... drew a pair of walks and scored a run against Ole Miss ... was issued two walks and came around to score one run against James Madison ... went 2-for-4 with a RBI triple and scored one run against Arkansas-Pine Bluff ... had a double and one RBI against Central Michigan ... hit a three-run home run against Indiana State to propel the Hoosiers to a 5-2 victory and extend the winning streak to five games ... scored a run as a pinch-runner against Iowa ... named Academic All-Big Ten.
SOPHOMORE YEAR (2010)
Appeared in 44 games and made 42 starts ... hit. 255 on the year with one home run and 15 RBI ... also had nine doubles and nine runs scored ... drew 17 walks to lead the team in that category ... had a hit, drew two walks and scored a pair of runs against Jacksonville State (2/14) ... was 2-for-2 with an RBI against UNLV (2/21) ... hit a home run and batted in two runs against Radford (3/14) ... went 2-for-4 at the plate with a double in game one of a doubleheader at Illinois (4/28) ... drew three walks in the second game of a doubleheader at Illinois (4/28) ... named Academic All-Big Ten ... also received NFCA Scholar-Athlete honors.
FRESHMAN YEAR (2009)
Appeared in 35 games, starting 29 with all but one coming at third base ... went 2-for-2 with a double and walk in her season debut against Cal Poly (2/6) ... hit her first career home run against No. 4 UCLA (2/7), a two-run shot to left field ... stole her only base of the season against Cal State Fullerton (2/8) ... drew a pair of walks and scored a run against NC State (2/15) ... collected her second double of the year against East Carolina (2/22) ... third double came against Hofstra (3/14) ... had pinch-hits on consecutive days against Iowa (4/25-26) ... named NFCA Scholar-Athlete.
Berenter was the team MVP at La Jolla Country Day as a junior and was named to the first team All-Coastal League South team for the third consecutive season. After being named to the second team All-CIF Division IV team a freshman and sophomore, she was named to the first team following her junior campaign. As a freshman, she led her team to the Coastal League South championship and earned the Coaches Award as well ... also lettered in golf and soccer ... daughter of Jay Berenter and Monica Berenter ... born Oct. 26, 1990 ... has one sister, Alexandra ... plans to major in Exercise Science.
