WOODSTOCK, Ga. - Junior shortstop Breanna Saucedo laced a single to left field to score freshman Brianna Meyer from second base with the winning run, capping off a two out rally by the Hoosiers (5-6). Lora Olson improved to 4-4 on the year with three innings of one-hit relief to get the win in the circle.

It was the second win of the day for Indiana after downing Eastern Kentucky, 6-0, earlier on Friday and their current win streak now stands at three games.

Indiana banged out just six hits in the game but was able to get them when in counted in the seventh inning and come away with the win. Brianna Meyer singled with one out in the seventh inning and then moved to second when Olson drew a walk on a full count pitch, her second walk of the game. Saucedo then took a couple pitched before lifting a single over the shortstop's head, allowing Meyer to come around from second base as the throw from the outfield was off line.

The Hoosiers scored first in the bottom of the second inning on a sacrifice fly by freshman Shannon Cawley, bringing in Amanda Wagner from third base.

Sophomore Meaghan Murphy got the start in the circle for IU and pitched the first four innings, giving up one run on four hits to go with three strikeouts. Murphy allowed the leadoff runner to get on to start the fifth inning before Olson came on in relief.

The first batter that Olson faced squared around to bunt and Cawley tried to get the out at second base but the runner beat the throw so everyone was safe and there were still no outs. After a popout to Saucedo at shortstop, the junior made a brilliant play on a ground ball to get the lead runner for the second out of the inning. Olson then induced a ground ball to Saucedo for the final out of the inning, as she worked out of the only real danger of the day for the IUdefense.

Olson gave up just one hit and struck out one in her three innings of near perfect relief work.

Jessie Browne (1-3) took the loss for Southeastern Louisiana, allowing two runs on six hits while walking four and fanning just one.

The Hoosiers return to play at the Phyllis Rafter Memorial in Woodstock, Ga., on Saturday against Saint Louis at 1:00 p.m. Free live audio and Gametracker stats are available at
