BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana Hoosiers (18-17, 3-4 Big Ten) handed the Purdue Boilermakers (23-11, 6-1 Big Ten) their first conference loss of the season, 3-2, on Brianna Meyer's walk-off double in the bottom of the 7th in the first game of a doubleheader at the IU Softball Field on Saturday.

The win gives the Hoosiers their third straight victory over Purdue, the longest since winning four in a row between 1996-1997. This is the fourth walk-off victory for the Hoosiers on the season.

With two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning freshman Brianna Meyer hit a double over the centerfielder's head, allowing Amanda Wagner to score from first base with the game winning run.

Meyer finished the game 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI. Wagner drew a walk to reach base prior to Meyer's hit extending her streak of reaching base safely to 11 straight games. Meyer was one of four Hoosiers to record two or more hits.

Lora Olson (10-10) pitched her 11th complete game on the season and earned her 10th win after striking out five and only allowing one earned run.

The Hoosiers got on the board early in the first inning on a single by Meyer, which scored Jenna Abraham from second who reached on an infield single to start the inning.

After Purdue scored two runs in the top of the fifth to take a 2-1, Wagner tied the game with a groundout RBI in the bottom of the frame, scoring Abraham.

Shelby Gogreve had a perfect day at the plate for Indiana going 3-for-3 with a double. Kelsey Brannon went 2 -for 4 with two singles.
