Postgame notes following a wild 15-14 loss to the Illinois Fighting Illini. Junior Emily Bergeson hit three home runs in the game to tie a single-game school record and also set numerous other single-game offensive marks. Here are a few other notes on the game...
-- The 29 combined runs scored ties the highest of the season for a game involving the Hoosiers. Indiana pulled out a 16-13 win in eight innings at Kentucky on April 1.
-- Emily Bergeson's numbers over the last four Big Ten games: .538 batting average (7-for-13), 4 home runs, 7 RBI, 1.462 slugging percentage, .647 on-base percentage.
-- Bergeson also scored four runs in the game, just the seventh time in IU history a player has done that and the first since Huddleston did it on March 12, 2006 against Connecticut.
-- This was the Hoosiers' first loss this season when scoring six or more runs (6-1).
-- Indiana hit five home runs in the game, the most in a game this season for the Hoosiers.
-- Brittany Devitt finished the game with three RBI, the most in a game in her brief IU career.
-- The home run by Anna Olson was her first since March 5, 2006 against Bradley.
