MADISON, Wis. - Indiana dropped the second game of a weekend series at Wisconsin on Sunday, going down to defeat, 8-0, in five innings. Hoosiers' senior outfielder Jennifer Glueckert upped her conference batting average to .419 with her second two-hit game of the weekend to pace the IU attack.

The Hoosiers (11-34, 3-12 Big Ten) had back-to-back two-out singles in the first from Glueckert and junior Sara Olson to set the table for Cassie Gogreve. The junior battled UW starting pitcher Letty Olivarez for a 14-pitch at-bat before flying out to left field.

In the second inning, Indiana freshman Breanna Saucedo reached second base on a dropped fly ball by Wisconsin (18-28, 3-10 Big Ten) center fielder Jennifer Krueger. Glueckert followed with a single up the middle and Saucedo tried to score from second base but Krueger made a strong throw to the plate and was called out, keeping the Hoosiers off the board.

Wisconsin scored three runs in the third inning, one on a passed ball, another on a bases loaded walk and the third on hit batter with the bases loaded to take a 3-0 lead.

Two more UW runners crossed the plate in the fourth and then Ashley Hanewich lifted a two-run home run to left to invoke the run-rule at 8-0.

Redshirt senior pitcher Monica Wright (3-12) took the loss for Indiana, allowing four runs, three earned, on five hits over 3.0 innings. Sara Olson pitched one inning and gave up a home run to Whitney Massey. Jessica Dobson came on to start the fifth inning and surrendered three runs on two hits and one walk.

Meghan McIntosh (6-7) earned the win for Wisconsin by pitching the final 2.1 innings and not allowing a hit. Olivarez went the first 2.2 innings and allowed just four hits while striking out two.
