BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Fans of Indiana University Softball will be able to follow the Hoosiers via Internet-only radio broadcasts, which will be free of charge. Roughly 30 games will be available to fans through and Stretch Internet.

"We could not be more excited to have our games on the Internet this year," Indiana head coach Michelle Gardner said. "Now our fans and parents from all across the country will be able to follow us closer than ever before."

More information on how to access the radio broadcasts and which games will be aired will be available in the near future. All broadcasts are subject to change throughout the year. Stretch Internet will be the provider of the broadcasts.

"College softball is one of the most exciting and fasting growing sports in the country," said IU Assistant Athletics Director of Broadcast Services Jeremy Gray. "Coach Gardner is a proven winner and is taking the program in the right direction. We are thrilled to bring increased exposure for the program by broadcasting their games on"

Dave Leno will be providing the play-by-play for the season. He has extensive experience broadcasting IU volleyball in addition to men's and women's soccer and halftime of women's basketball games. Leno spent this past summer calling professional baseball games for the Camden Riversharks, an independent team based in Camden, NJ.

"I am thrilled to be calling softball games this season," Leno said. "Fans can expect an upbeat, energetic yet honest broadcaster who tries to paint a detailed picture on every play. I will challenge myself to bring listeners closer to the game, as if they are sitting in the stands."

Stretch Internet, based in Mesa, Ariz., provides streaming and other Internet services to more than 150 colleges, universities, professional teams and radio stations while reaching an audience of more than 50,000 users per month. Founded in 2002 by a former college sports information director, Stretch Internet is devoted to customer service and providing a first-class, high quality experience for its clients and their extended communities.

The regular season opener is on Feb. 13 at the K-Club Classic, hosted by Kennesaw State University, when they take on Jacksonville State at 10 a.m. ET.
