    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -

The Big Ten Network announced the broadcast schedule for softball on Tuesday, including games to be carried on BigTenNetwork.com, and the Hoosiers are slated to have seven games aired on one of the formats. They will have three regular season games televised on the Big Ten Network and four regular season games as an online-only broadcast at BTN.com.

"I am thrilled that we are going to be on the Big Ten Network," Indiana Head Softball Coach Michelle Gardner said. "It is such an advantage to be able to be on the network in millions of homes across the country so fans, parents and recruits can all see us play. And by adding the games online, it only enhances the access that is unmatched across the country"

Indiana will open Big Ten play at Iowa on April 3 and 4, with both games carried on BigTenNetwork.com starting at 3 p.m. The Hoosiers' doubleheader at Ohio State on April 21 will also be carried online, with the first game starting at 5 p.m.

The Hoosiers will then make their season debut on the Big Ten Network at Wisconsin, as both games of the series will be available LIVE in HD. Saturday's game will start at 7 p.m. ET and Sunday's contest will begin at 2 p.m. The following weekend, the Hoosiers travel to in-state rival Purdue, and Saturday's game with the Boilermakers will be played at 4 p.m. and then aired on the Big Ten Network at 7 p.m. ET.

Fans will be required to pay $2.99 per game to watch the games that are carried online at BigTenNetwork.com. In addition, IU will carry live audio of roughly 30 games throughout the season through IUHoosiers.com starting February 27th against Jackson State at the Southern Mississippi invitational.

Fans can check IUHoosiers.com for games that will be part of the Internet-only radio broadcasts. Indiana opened the 2010 season last weekend at Kennesaw State and will continue this weekend at the Louisville Slugger Desert Classic, starting Friday at 12:00 p.m. ET against Boise State.
