    INDIANA FALLS TO KANSAS AT FRESNO STATE TOURNAMENT

    Fresno, Calif.-- The Indiana softball team dropped its first game of the Fresno State Tournament to Kansas 8-0 today. The 3-7 Hoosiers managed to rack up four hits against the #16 Jayhawks.

    Kansas put two runs on the board in the second inning and pulled away from the Hoosiers recording eight runs and eight hits. Freshman Jennifer Pullon led the Cream and Crimson attack going 2-3 with one double. Junior Khara Good and sophomore Monica Zahasky each had the remaining hits for the Hoosiers.

    Freshman pitcher Jennifer Kniptash (2-3) picked up her third loss of the season. She threw 5.2 innings giving up four walks and eight hits.

    Indiana is playing UCLA and Fresno State later tonight. Due to the siginificant time differnece, a release with those results will be faxed out during the day tomorrow.
