Indiana set to take on No. 15 Louisville on Tuesday

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana softball team will look to bounce back from a pair of conference losses to Minnesota over the weekend when they travel south to take on the University of Louisville Cardinals.
The 15th-ranked Cardinals enter the game riding a six game winning streak and are 26-3 overall on the year and 4-0 in BIG EAST play after taking two games from both USF and Rutgers over the weekend. The Hoosiers are 3-21 on the year and 0-2 in Big Ten action after falling to Minnesota over the weekend in a pair of games.

LOOKING AT THE CARDINALS Colby Wherry is the top hitter for Louisville coming into the game with a .397 average while three different U of L players have at least five home runs and 22 runs batted in. As a team, Louisville is hitting .316 while their pitching staff is allowing opponents to hit .201. The Cards are scoring 5.5 runs per game and giving up just over 1.5 run per game thanks to a stellar 1.11 ERA.
In the circle for U of L, Kristen Wadwell is 20-3 with a 0.96 ERA and 17 complete games and five shutouts. Tori Collins is 6-0 in the cirlcle and boasts a 1.65 ERA in 11 starts.
Of the three losses for the Cardinals, two of them have come at the hands of Big Ten opponents. The Michigan Wolverines squeezed out a 3-2 win over the Cardinals on Feb. 13 and Ohio State downed the Cards by the same score on March 14. The other loss came on Feb. 22 to Eastern Michigan in Tampa, Fla., again by a score of 3-2.
