    Complete Game Notes

    FIRST PITCH
Indiana put an end to a 10-game losing streak on Tuesday with a 2-1 victory at Indiana State behind seven strong innings in the circle from junior Sara Olson. She picked up her second complete game victory of the season as she allowed a run on five hits and struck out five. The Orland Park, Ill., native also drove in the first run for the Hoosiers in the top of the first inning to help her cause. Sophomore Samantha Berenter followed two batters later with an RBI single to make it 2-0 and that was all the run support Olson would need. Freshman Madison Diederich collected her first career multi-hit game with a pair of singles batting out of the eighth spot in the order.

Iowa is coming off a 7-3 loss to in-state rival Iowa State, a game in which they committed four errors to help the Cyclones capture the win.

    SCHEDULE NOTES
There have been some changes to the IU schedule recently, including the rescheduling of a doubleheader against Evansville. The March 25th doubleheader was cancelled due to rain and has now been slated for April 13, starting at 2 p.m. at the IU Softball Field.

This weekend at Iowa, both games were originally listed as being a part of the BigTenNetwork.com's streaming games package, but it was recently discovered that there will not be streaming video of those games. Live audio and statistics will be available through IUHoosiers.com as usual.

    SARA STYMIES THE SYCAMORES
Junior pitcher Sara Olson did a little bit of everything in the Hoosiers' 2-1 victory over Indiana State on Tuesday. In the top of the first inning, she drilled a RBI double to left center field to give the Hoosiers a 1-0 lead. She then took to the circle and dominated the Sycamore hitters for the complete game victory, her second of the season.

In her last seven appearances spanning 22.2 innings, Olson has an ERA of 2.16 and has only allowed more than one run in two of those appearances. She also has 15 strikeouts to just six walks and has lowered her overall ERA by 0.32.

    TURNING TWO
The Hoosiers are tied for 16th in the country this week in the number of double plays turned per game (0.48), and they are second in the Big Ten behind Purdue. That total does not take into account the one turned at Indiana State on Tuesday, upping the total to 13 on the season.

    IU SOFTBALL ON THE RADIO
The Indiana University Department of Athletics announced earlier this winter that over 30 games on the IU softball schedule will be broadcast on IUHoosiers.com, and all games from here on out will be carried on the website. All of the broadcasts will be free of charge through Stretch Internet, and available by going to the softball schedule page on IUHoosiers.com. Dave Leno will have the call for all the broadcasts, with Nathan Wiechers providing color commentary.
