BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana Softball team dropped a single game to Wisconsin Sunday afternoon, losing 7-6 at the IU Softball Field.
A two-run homer by Wisconsin's (16-12, 2-3) Julie Borchard in the top of the seventh proved to be the fatal blow for the Hoosiers.
IU (16-22, 3-5 Big Ten) gave up three runs in the first before rallying in the third to take a 6-3 lead. Senior Khara Good started a rally that went through the entire order by singling to center and stealing second. The big hit of the inning was a two-run single by junior Monica Zahasky, scoring freshman Brooke Monroe and junior Staci Meek.
Indiana heads to Ball State Tuesday for a single game at 4 p.m. and the up to Notre Dame for a doubleheader Wednesday at 2 p.m.
