BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -
The Hoosiers (7-28, 3-7 Big Ten) are coming off a two-game sweep at Michigan State while Illinois (22-12, 5-4) dropped a pair of games at Ohio State, including a 17-15 slugfest. The first game of the doubleheader starts at 6 p.m. Eastern time and will be immediately followed by game two.

In game one, Sara Olson allowed one unearned run to get her fifth win of the season. Game two saw Ashley Hobbs fan 15 and Kristin King collect her first career RBI with a two-run double in the eighth inning to give IU a 5-2 victory. Illinois dropped a pair of games at No. 16 Ohio State over the weekend by scores of 5-0 and 17-15.

THE LAST TIME...
In 2008, the Illini and Hoosiers played a pair of exciting games in Bloomington, with both teams taking home a win. In game one, IU trailed 3-0 going to the bottom of the seventh, but a two-run single from Anna Olson and a grand slam by Sara Olson gave the Hoosiers a 6-3 win. Game two saw more of the same offense, with Illinois coming out on top of the 15-14 slugfest. The Hoosiers trail the all-time series, 5-10.
MAGIG NUMBER 15
Ashley Hobbs etched her name into the record books at Indiana with a 15 strikeout performance in game two at Michigan State over the weekend. The senior from Brownsburg, Ind., had 22 strikeouts in 61.1 innings coming into the game but went all eight innings to pick up her second win of the season as well.
The 15 K’s puts her in a tie for eighth place on the all-time single-game strikeouts list at Indiana, matching Amy Unterbrink’s effort on May 2, 1986 against Illinois State.
