GAME DATA: Indiana will travel to Minneapolis, Minn. to play a double-header against Minnesota at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 28. The Hoosiers then play Wisconsin on Saturday and Sunday, April 29-30. Both single games will begin at 1:00 p.m.
MINNESOTA: The Gophers are currently 27-24 overall and 2-9 in the Big Ten. Jordanne Nygren leads the Gophers with 11 homeruns and 39 RBI while posting a .350 batting average. Angie Recknor currently posts a 1.94 ERA and owns a 22-23 record. Minnesota will play a doubleheader with Concordia today, April 26. The Series: The Hoosiers lead the series 36-30. WISCONSIN: The Badgers are currently 26-20 overall and 5-4 in the Big Ten. Wisconsin will play a doubleheader at Nebraska today, April 26 and then return home to host Purdue on Friday, April 28. Lindy Barth leads the Badgers with 22 RBI and 10 doubles while posting a .295 batting average. Andrea Kirchberg has a 1.08 ERA and leads the team with a 22-11 record. WEEKLY UPDATE: The Hoosiers haven't played since Sunday, April 16 when they defeated Northwestern 5-4. Last week, Indiana's doubleheader with Louisiana Tech was cancelled due to severe weather conditions in the bottom of the second inning with the score still 0-0.
CLIMBING THE CHARTS: Senior Teresa Martinez is now in fourth place on the three all-time career lists with 72 complete games, 81 games started, and 594.5 innings pitched.
SAVKO GOES YARD: Senior Sheri Savko has been powerful at the plate. Overall, Savko has an average of .280 and has hit a team high five homeruns this season. Savko also leads the team in multiple hit games (6), runs scored (19), total bases (55), hits (30), stolen bases (11), and slugging percentage (.514).
ABOVE .300 IN THE BIG TEN: Seniors Teresa Martinez and Staci Meek are hitting .333 during the Big Ten season. Martinez is 5-15 at the plate with a double and six total bases. Meek is 11-33 with one RBI and has scored five runs. Meek is currently on a five game a winning streak.
WALK OF LIFE: Freshman Stormy Hanson currently leads the Hoosiers with 16 bases on balls for the season. Hanson posts a .255 batting average and is third on the team with 26 hits.
SO CLOSE YET SO FAR: Indiana has posted a 13-28 record thus far in the season. Of those 28 losses, 10 of them were decided by only one run.
FIGHTING THE RANKS: Indiana has played eight games against ranked teams this season and lost by only one run in three of those games. Indiana is currently 0-8 against ranked teams this season.

THE COACHES: Diane Stephenson begins her 13th season as head coach for the Hoosiers. She has produced winning records in seven of her 12 seasons. Stephenson has accumulated a 370-331-3 (.528) career record, including a 153-158 (.492) record in Big Ten play. Her team made the NCAA Mideast Regional in 1994 and finished with a record of 49-16.
Assisting Stephenson will be Donna Bonebrake, now in her 5th season, and newcomer Jen McIntyre. McIntyre comes to Indiana from Penn State where she played third base for the Nittany Lions.
