    HOOSIERS LOSE TO PENN STATE

    Bloomington, Ind. -- Indiana's softball team dropped a 6-1 decison to Penn State Sunday afternoon in their final home game of the season at IU's Softball Complex.

    With Sunday's loss, the Hoosiers fall to 17-37 overall and 3-18 in Big Ten play while the Nittany Lions improve to 32-19 overall, 13-8 in the Big Ten.

    The Hoosiers trailed Penn State 2-1 before heading into the fifth when the Nittany Lions scored three runs with two outs, including a homerun from Colleen Kersey to go up 5-1.

    Staci Meek and Erica Del Toro's two hits apiece accounted for all four Hoosier hits. It was Meek's 10th multi-hit game of the season.

    The Hoosiers end the season at Michigan next Saturday and Sunday, May 8-9, in Ann Arbor, Mich.
