Phillips Steps Down As Indiana Softball Coach
May 13, 2008
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana University Director of Athletics Rick Greenspan announced today that Stacey Phillips has resigned her position as head softball coach to pursue other opportunities.
"I appreciate all the hard work Coach Phillips has done on behalf of Indiana University," Greenspan said. "We wish her the best in all her future endeavors."
Phillips came to Indiana as an assistant coach in 2004 and served as the interim head coach for the 2005 campaign. Prior to the 2006 season, she assumed the role of head coach with the program. Phillips compiled a career record of 80-135-1 in four years and led Indiana to the NCAA Tournament following the 2006 regular season.
Indiana University will conduct a national search to identify its next head softball coach. No timetable has been set to complete the process.
