BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana University softball team (37-15, 17-3 Big Ten) received an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament on Sunday night, where they will take on DePaul at the Columbia, Mo., regional on Friday, May 20 at 5:00 p.m. ET. It is the first postseason appearance for the Hoosiers since the 2006 season. Also playing at the regional with Hoosiers will be the fifth overall seed Missouri and Illinois State.

"We are absolutely thrilled to have Indiana back in the NCAA Tournament," Indiana head coach Michelle Gardner said. "It will be a great opportunity for our team and we look forward to preparing for it this weekend."

This will be the seventh appearance in the NCAA Tournament for the Hoosiers and the first under head coach Michelle Gardner. For Gardner, it will be her third NCAA Tournament appearance, having led Nevada to a pair of appearances in her six seasons with the Wolfpack, and she has a 2-4 record.

Indiana is 11-13 all-time in the NCAA Tournament.
