BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Three players from the Indiana softball team were recently named NFCA Academic All-America team Scholar Athletes for their academic achievements throughout the school year. Over 4,000 softball student-athletes were chosen from seven different divisions. The honor is awarded to those student-athletes who achieve a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade point average during the 2012-13 academic year.

Jenna Abraham, Kelsey Brannon and Kassi Farmer all made the cut after excelling off the field.

Abraham, a Community Health major, posted a 3.58 GPA this past academic year to earn her second consecutive NFCA Scholar Athlete award, while teammate Farmer picks up her first NFCA academic honors with a 3.87 GPA. Brannon, an elementary education major, earned a flawless 4.0 this past academic year. She has now earned the NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete award in each of her four seasons with the Hoosiers.
