Softball Makes Strides Against Breast Cancer
Oct. 18, 2012
Bloomington, Ind. - The Indiana University softball team recently participated in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk on Oct. 8 at Karst Farm Park in Bloomington, Ind.
The Hoosiers were proactive in fundraising for the event, which directly benefited the American Cancer Society. IU initially sought to raise $7,000 for the cause, but they successfully met and surpassed that number by collaboratively fundraising a total of over $8,000.
The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk is an American Cancer Society event that invests in groundbreaking research to find, prevent, treat, and cure breast cancer.
