Women's Swim and Dive Splits with Texas, Michigan

AUSTIN, Texas - The Indiana University women's swimming and diving team picked up a split in a dual meet with Texas and Michigan, defeating the Wolverines, 223-77, and falling to Texas, 172-128.
Cynthia Pammett and Vrooman finished 1-3 in the 200 freestyle relay, with Pammett's winning time of 1:48.90. Vrooman touched the wall in 1:49.99, while O'Brien was seventh (1:52.77).
Snodgrass remains undefeated in the 100 backstroke this season, clocking a time of 54.14, another NCAA B cut for the freshman. Allie Day was fourth (56.15). Specht was second overall in the 100 breaststroke (1:01.84), with Bronwyn Pasloski fourth (1:02.28).
Stephanie Armstrong took third in the 100 freestyle (51.62), with Siri Kristiansen fifth (52.40). The Hoosiers went 3-4-5 in the 50 freestyle with Sara Delay third (23.70), Pasloski fourth (23.73) and Pammett fifth (23.75).
In the 200 backstroke Snodgrass also remained perfect on the year, winning in an NCAA B cut time of 1:56.05. Pammett was second (1:57.94/NCAA B Cut) and Allie Day third (2:00.64) for the 1-2-3 Hoosier sweep.
Madeline Maher was the second finisher in the 200 breaststroke (2:15.79/NCAA B Cut), while Specht was fourth (2:16.17) and Pasloski fifth (2:17.48).
Vrooman was a double winner, picking up the 500 freestyle title with a time of 4:48.85. O'Brien was fifth (4:58.33) and Guinevere Vanden Noort eighth (5:01.45).
Lips' third top-three finish of the day came in the 100 butterfly, finishing third in 54.89. MacLean was fourth (56.10) and Allie Day sixth (57.08). Number four came one event later for Lips when she placed second in the 400 individual medley (4:19.51), with Maher sixth (4:23.77).
In the final swimming event of the night, IU took third in the 400 freestyle relay with Pammett, Snodgrass, Armstrong and Vrooman clocking in at 3:22.35.
On the 1-meter springboard, Amy Cozad was third with a score of 284.40, while Kate Hillman placed fifth (267.75) and Cassidy Kahn eighth (256.45). Cozad also took third in the 3-meter event, tallying a score of 326.65. Hillman was fifth (307.65) and Kahn 11th (226.35).
