UPDATE: Day 4 of B1G Swim and Dive Championships

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Update from day four of the 2013 Big Ten Women's Swimming and Diving Championships at the University Aquatic Center in Minneapolis, Minn.
200 Backstroke It is the Hoosier Invitational in the 200 backstroke final with five of the eight championship slots going to IU swimmers. Leading the way is freshman Brooklynn Snodgrass who topped the field with an NCAA A cut of 1:51.99. That is the fourth-fastest time in IU history. Teammate Cynthia Pammett is the second seed after posting a 1:53.22. Dorina Szekeres blew past the field over the final 50 yards to win her heat in a career time of 1:54.72, good for the third seed. Allie Day easily won her heat with an NCAA B cut of of 1:55.19, finishing fifth. Justine Ress touched the wall second in heat seven with a time of 1:55.66, putting her seventh. Shelby Carroll hit an NCAA B cut and a career best, placing second in her heat and 23rd overall with a time of 1:58.39. Alexis Bullard went a career-best 2:03.45 to finish fourth in her heat and 46th overall.
200 Breaststroke The Hoosiers put three swimmers in the championship final and one in the consolation final in the 200 breaststroke. Ashley Specht raced to a career-best time of 2:10.19, good for second in the heat and third overall. Bronwyn Pasloski was third in the same heat with a time of 2:12.21, placing her sixth in the field. Siri Kristiansen knocked almost 10 seconds off her seed time to win her heat in 2:13.06, seventh overall in the field. Madeline Maher went 2:13.95 to finish second in her heat and 10th overall, good for a spot in the consolation final. Rachel Thompson was 36th in the field with a career-best time of 2:20.60.
200 Butterfly Indiana's only two entrants into the 200 butterfly both made the championship final, led by Brenna MacLean who is the fourth overall qualifier at 1:58.07. Right behind her in the fifth spot is Haley Lips, who went 1:58.30 in the morning session.
