BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana Hoosiers were well-represented at the recent FINA Diving World Cup at the London Aquatics Centre in London, England, site of the swimming and diving events for the 2012 Olympics.

Competing in the women's synchronized 10-meter platform event, IU junior Amy Cozad and sophomore Laura Ryan finished 10th with a score of 284.70. The Hoosiers missed out on picking up an Olympic spot for the United States in the event, with the four remaining spots going to Canada, Ukraine, Malaysia and Mexico.

Former Hoosier and NCAA champion Christina Loukas led the U.S. contingent on the 3-meter springboard with a seventh-place finish, tallying 327.65 points.

Joining Cozad and Ryan on the trip to London was head diving coach Dr. Jeff Huber, who served as an assistant with USA Diving.

Cozad and Ryan will now try to earn spots at the NCAA Championships, with the NCAA Zone C diving event taking place at the Counsilman-Billingsley Aquatic Center, March 8-10.
