BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -
Indiana University swimmers continue to post impressive times after three days of competition at the USA Swimming U.S. Open at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis.
Sophomore Steve Schmuhl finished third in the men's 400-meter individual medley Thursday with a time of 4:18.74. Senior Sam Trahin also made the championship final, where he finished sixth in 4:21.70.
In the women's 400-meter IM race, the Hoosiers' Allysa Vavra placed fifth with a time of 4:45.43, improving upon her morning prelim mark of 4:46.24.
Competition continues through Saturday.
