BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana University freshman Brooklyn Snodgrass was named the Big Ten Women's Swimmer of the Week, as well as the Big Ten Freshman of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday.

Snodgrass helped lead the Hoosiers to a 223-77 win over Michigan and a narrow 172-128 loss to Texas in a double dual meet in Austin, Texas.

Snodgrass remained undefeated on the season in both backstroke events, winning the 100 back in an NCAA provisional time of 53.96. Her winning time in the 200 backstroke is also an NCAA B cut, as she touched the wall in 1:56.05.

Snodgrass also swam in the 200 medley relay team that took second in 1:41.79, and took third as a member of the 400 freestyle relay (3:22.35).

In the College Swimming News top-25 released today, the IU women come in at No. 7. The Hoosier men are also No. 7 after facing No. 1 Michigan and No. 2 Texas last weekend.
