BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana University sophomore swimmer Brooklynn Snodgrass is the Big Ten Swimmer of the Week, the conference office announced late Tuesday.

Snodgrass posted wins in the 100 backstroke and 200 backstroke, as well as second-place finishes in the 200 medley relay and 400 free relay as the Hoosiers defeated Kentucky and fell to Tennessee in a double dual meet last weekend.

Snodgrass went 54.60 to win the 100 backstroke, her fourth NCAA B cut this season in the event. She made it a sweep with a time of 1:57.92 in the 200 back, her third NCAA B cut of the year. She also helped the Hoosiers to a second-place finish in the 200 medley relay in 1:40.96, and a runner-up finish in the 400 free relay at 3:24.99.

This is the fourth career Big Ten Swimmer of the Week honor for Snodgrass, and her seventh overall weekly Big Ten award.

The Hoosiers are back in training mode with their next competition Dec. 5-7 at the USA Swimming Winter Nationals in Knoxville, Tenn.
