    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana University women's tennis team remained undefeated on the season with a 6-1 win over Kansas in the morning, then defeating Drake, 6-1, on Saturday, Jan. 20.

    Leading the Hoosiers was sophomore Alba Berdala, who won both of her matches at No. 1 singles. She defeated Elizaveta Avdeeva of Kansas 6-4, 4-6, 6-0, and Zi Wang of Drake 6-1, 6-0 on the day. Berdala is currently ranked No. 86 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings.

    Others who went 2-0 on the day were sophomore Sigrid Fischer at No. 3 singles and Cecile Perton at No. 5.

    In doubles, the team of Fischer and Perton remained undefeated on the year at No. 2. The duo defeated Lauren Hommell and Kunigunda Dorn of Kansas 8-2, and downed Eveline Rusdianto and Irina Kalashnikova of Drake in the afternoon.

    The Hoosiers (4-0), ranked 43rd by the ITA, return to action on Saturday, Jan. 27, in Bloomington against DePaul and Butler, beginning at 10 a.m.
