No. 31 Indiana Tops No. 39 Kansas in Orlando, 5-2

ORLANDO, Fla. - The No. 31 Indiana women's tennis team wrapped up its spring break training trip with a 5-2 victory over No. 39 Kansas on Thursday. The match was played at the University of Central Florida's tennis courts.
In doubles, IU (13-4, 1-1) won the No. 1 match as Katie Klyczek and Carolyn Chupa downed Dylan Windom and Paulina Los in convincing fashion, 8-1. Kansas (10-4, 1-0) would then earn the doubles point by winning at both No. 2 and No. 3.
The Hoosiers then went to work in singles play. Gabrielle Rubenstein put IU on the board first with a 6-1, 6-4 triumph over KU's Morgan Barnhill at No. 6. In the No. 5 match, Indiana's Paula Gutierrez earned a point as Claire Dreyer of Kansas retired the match because of injury.
Klyczek gave IU its third team point as she cruised past Windom in the No. 1 position, 6-2, 6-2. Chupa then clinched the match for the Hoosiers as she took down Maria Belen Luduena, 6-1, 6-4.
Sophie Garre picked up Indiana's fifth point of the day bouncing back from a first-set loss to KU's Maria Jose Cardona, 5-7, 6-3, 1-0 (14-12).
The Hoosiers will return to the Midwest to take on Illinois in Champaign on Sunday, March 23. That match will get started at 11 a.m. ET.
