No. 34 Indiana Romps Over Minnesota, 6-1

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana women's tennis (16-6, 5-3) knocked off Minnesota (9-10, 3-5) by a 6-1 score on Saturday. The 34th-ranked Hoosiers took the doubles point and won at every spot except number four singles.
In doubles play, Leslie Hureau and Carolyn Chupa won 8-3 at number one, and Sophie Garre and Katie Klyczek closed out the doubles point with an 8-3 victory at number three. The match at number two was abandoned at a 5-5 tie.
In singles, Chupa got things rolling, winning 6-0, 6-4 over Paula Rincon Otero at number three. Jithmie Jayawickrema was the next domino to fall, as she won 6-3, 6-1 over Yuliana Umanets at number six singles. Klyczek then clinched the match with a 7-5, 6-2 win over Tereza Brichacova at number two.
IU finished up with a 6-2, 6-4 win from Garre over Aria Lambert at number five and a 4-6, 6-0, 6-3 win from Hureau over Natallia Pintusava at number one. Minnesota scored their lone point in the final match to finish up, as Jessika Mozia defeated Alecia Kauss in a third set tiebreaker, taking the win with a final score of 6-7 (7), 6-4, 1-0 (7).
