    EAST LANSING, Mich. - Freshman Lindsey Stuckey reached the main singles draw, while four doubles teams competed at the second day of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) Midwest Regional, hosted by Michigan State.

    Stuckey defeated Lauren Little of Marquette 6-4, 7-6 (4) to reach the top eight of the singles qualifier and move on to the main singles draw, which begins Saturday, Oct. 21.

    Four doubles teams competed at the tournament for the Hoosiers, led by Sigrid Fischer and Cecile Perton, who defeated Allie Shafner and Tania Mahtani of Michigan 8-5 in their first match of the day.

    Alba Berdala and Stuckey were also standouts in doubles competition. After falling in their first match of the day, they rebounded to beat Nicole Haralambopoulos and Gina Peretti of Youngstown State 8-5.

    Marah Calvo and Clark were defeated in a tough 10-8 loss by Lubica Nadasska and Callan Smith of Illinois-Chicago.
