Eight Players Win On Final Day of Western Michigan Super Challenge

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Eight Hoosiers came away with wins on the final day of the Western Michigan Super Challenge. The tournament concludes the fall season for Indiana.
"I thought we finished the fall season on a good note," head coach Lin Loring said. "Although we still have some work to do, we saw some big improvements from the regional tournament. I am pleased with progress we have made."
The biggest win of the day came from freshman Lindsey Stuckey, who won her flight with a 7-6 (2), 5-7, 1-0 (4) win against Alexis Conill of Northwestern.
Sophomore Marah Calvo earned a 6-3, 6-1 win over Jennifer Taylor of Northwestern, and sophomore Stephanie Heller defeated Milica Zivanovic of Western Michigan, 6-0, 6-1. Freshman Erin Clark won 6-3, 6-1 over Wisconsin's Katya Mirnova.
Sophomore Sigrid Fischer, who reached the finals of flight four, fell 6-4, 6-1 to Lauren Lui of Northwestern.
The Hoosiers begin the dual match season on January 14, 2007, against Western Michigan and Miami (Ohio).
