"We normally go right into duals matches in January," said Head Coach Lin Loring. "We scheduled this doubles tournament because of all the freshman we have this year. We thought it would be a good idea to have one last chance to experiment with doubles combinations and also another chance to keep teaching doubles."

Official play is scheduled to begin Saturday morning at 11:30 a.m. and run until approximately 5 p.m. The invitational will then wrap up on Sunday, starting at 10 a.m. There will also be a few exhibition matches played Friday evening.

"All the teams will be in early Friday afternoon to practice, so we are going to play a tie-Breaker singles tournament Friday night," said Loring. "It should be fun and help us knock the rust off before the 20th when we start our dual match season with perennial MAC powers Western Michigan and Miami."
