    On The Court:

When did you start playing tennis?

    D
V: "I started to play when I was six years old, in Hungary, that is where I lived until I was nine. I started off playing by myself against the wall."

When did you know you wanted to pursue tennis in college?

    D
V: "I think ever since a young age. I loved to do it and I always thought I was either going to play in college or as a professional. That was always my goal early on."

How has Coach Loring helped your game improve since you arrived at IU?

    DV
: "He has helped me a lot. We have a very tough schedule. I have gotten to play matches against some of the top opponents in the country. He always provides guidance on how to play certain opponents and prepares us well for each match."

Where has your game improved the most?

    DV
: "Coach has worked with me a lot on my serve. My placement has gotten better and I have more power on my serve now. The coaches have also helped me with doubles. I wasn't that experienced playing doubles before, I was primarily a singles player, and they have helped me develop in that area."

What are the goals for you and the team this season?

    DV
: "My personal goal is to get a high national ranking. As far as the team goals, we would all love to be Big Ten Champs like a year ago."

How does the team prepare for a match?

    DV
: "We go out for team dinners before the match and we have a warm-up CD that we play before the match."

    Off The Court:

How influential is your family in your life, both on and off the court?

    DV
: "My family is great. They are very supportive. They always try to come watch me play whenever they can. They always come to all the home matches. I have a close relationship with them. Both my parents play tennis, so when I am on vacation, I like to play with them."

What do you like to do in your spare time?

    DV
: "I like to play with my two dogs. I have a black lab (Maci) and a golden retriever (Teddy). I like to be outdoors and hang out with my friends."

    What is your favorite restaurant?

    DV
    : "Lennie's is my favorite."

What do you like most about Bloomington?

    D
V: "It's a really friendly place. When I first came to the U.S., I lived in Bloomington for a year. I went to second grade in town. So I had a lot of good memories to come back to when I decided to go to school here."

What do you find yourself watching on TV?

    DV
